Why We Started
“Hi there! I’m Dalayna Chandler, the founder of Chandler Educational Services. Welcome to our website, where you will find creative hands-on experiences for children.
Our company was created because of a dire need to touch children’s lives beyond the classroom. We recognized that children need to become more creative, innovative, and engaged in the learning process. In a world where technology seems to reign supreme, we wanted to design and select resources where children are reading physical books, creating their own stories, solving puzzles, and using tactile skills. We challenge parents, family members, friends, schools, churches, and other organizations to invest in a child’s future by gifting them learning boxes or tutoring sessions.
Our tutoring sessions are currently virtual; however, our tutors are dedicated to keeping students engaged with fun and exciting personalized lesson plans.
So, let’s ignite, encourage, and motivate learning for our children!

To ensure we deliver the best inclusive books each month, only the most exceptional stories make it through our 5-6 month analyzing and testing process.

Once our books are selected, we create discussion questions and activities to help the book (and its important themes) come alive at home.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide student-centered academic support in Language Arts. We specialize in preschool and elementary tutoring, as well as interactive activity boxes.

Dalayna Chandler
FOUNDER + CEO
Ms. Chandler is a graduate of Virginia State University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She has taught in Virginia, Florida, Hawaii, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Okinawa, Japan. As a classroom teacher, she provided after school tutoring (enrichment and remediation) for her students, which soon flourished into a successful tutoring business. In 2020, Ms. Chandler took another leap of faith and began to design interactive Language Arts activities to enhance virtual learning.

Kiyanna Levy
DIRECTOR
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
Kiyanna Levy, former Teacher of five years, is a licensed Reading Specialist and experienced Literacy Coach of Virginia Beach Public Schools. She is a graduate of Norfolk State University (B.S.) and Old Dominion University (M.Ed). She has a passion for teaching students to read, but has a love for teaching students math skills. She prides herself in instilling the love of learning in students and strives to do that everyday.

Lynne Modzelewski
CURRICULUM COORDINATOR (TUTORING)
Ms. Modzelewski is a graduate of Rivier University and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been an educator for 24 years. She is currently a certified teacher for Shelby County School District (Memphis, Tennessee) and teaches first grade.

Emily Gibson
CES KID AMBASSADOR MANAGER
ACADEMIC INSTRUCTOR (TUTOR)
Mrs. Gibson is a graduate of Shippensburg University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. She has been a Special Education teacher for the last three years between the states of Pennsylvania and South Carolina. Mrs. Gibson enjoys working to meet individual student needs and making a positive impact toward education in each student she works with.

Tonjia Owens
ACADEMIC INSTRUCTOR (TUTOR)
Mrs. Owens is a graduate of Virginia State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts and Grand Canyon University with a Master of Education focused on Administration and Supervision. She has been a certified Special Education teacher for 15 years and a Special Education Coordinator for 4 years. She loves her students and believes they can do anything they put their mind to!

Fawnya Gibson
ACADEMIC INSTRUCTOR (TUTOR)
Fawnya Gibson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Labor Education from Rutgers University and a Master’s in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix. With 17 years of experience as a certified teacher, she has taught across all grade levels from Early Childhood to 4th grade. Currently, she serves as a 3rd grade teacher specializing in math, science, and social studies at Elizabeth Avenue Elementary School in New Jersey. Ms. Gibson is a dedicated educator who is committed to helping her students achieve their full potential and surpass their own expectations.
She is trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach and have effectively utilized this method to provide explicit reading instruction in a general education setting for six years.
